Coastal Engineering Consultants, Inc. (CEC) recognizes that we are an integral part of our local communities, and community involvement is encouraged.
For nearly four decades, CEC has supported organizations and provided continuing participation, service, and funding support to a large number of worthy community services and organizations. Some of these services and organizations include: the Great Bay Scallop Search by the University of Florida/Charlotte County Sea Grant Extension; the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Conference for the Collier County School District; the Marco Island Fitness Challenge benefitting Grace Place for Children and Families; Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida; and the Winged Foot Scholar Athlete Award.
Members of our staff also serve as volunteers, officers, and directors of organizations that include Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club of Naples, Collier Building Industry Association, Southwest Florida Builders Association, Partner in Education (Golden Apple), Hospice of Southwest Florida, Boy Scouts of America and several area schools.
CEC’s engineers take an active role in the Naples High School Engineering Academy and Florida Sea Grant; serving on both of their advisory boards.
Every year, CEC determines or renews its main area of focus for its giving based on an assessment of significant community need and our staff’s interests and involvement.
Investing in Young People
CEC’s giving and support is focused on youth, education, and the programs that help young people become healthy, productive adults. In both Florida and Louisiana CEC has supported many youth sports leagues by coaching and sponsoring teams, including baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball.
